Faux Finishes & Decorative Painting, Antiqued Fireplaces add beauty and value to your home. Color washing, ragging, stippling, and dragging are all faux finishes that will create a mood or the illlusion of texture on a plain wall. You can opt for real texture by using limewashes, venetian plasters, textural plaster, or even a crackle finish can add texture and variation to space. Distressing and antique glazes can also add to the effect by creating an “Old World” charm & elegance.

This technique is especially conducive to custom painted furniture. An ordinairy piece of furniture custom painted can transform a room by introducing a new focal point thus creating a theme and decorating your room to reflect this. In addition to the above, the “Old World” technique is utilized in the “Tuscan” fireplace. With this antique patina finish you can transform a stone and/or brick fireplace with a subtle aged look similiar to a fireplace in Tuscany. Foorcloths are custom painted to accent a room’s decor.
