Born in Massachusetts. Lee Reinhold has traveled extensively throughout Europe
and Mexico. Her passion for the fine arts and interiors began when she was
a child influenced heavily by her creative parents and grandparents...from
artists,craftsmen, to scientists.
Lee attended New England School of Art in Boston studying
interior design. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the
University of Lowell, Lowell, Ma. Upon graduation she traveled abroad
to continue her studies in Italian Renaissance in Florence, Italy...
immersing herself in the art and culture. When she returned to the U.S.,
she exhibited her paintings in the Kingston Gallery in Boston. While
pursuing her art she was employed by Federated Stores as a photo stylist
and continued for Federated in the Visual Merchandise Department. She
later worked as an interior decorator for a designer boutique on Newbury
Street in Boston.
While working as a interior decorator she came across
an exquisite home in Boston with Faux Finish & Decorative Painting
throughout the entire home....the rest is history. Lee was in the world
of design but began to study the art form of faux finish and decorative
painting. Being schooled and trained as a fine artist coupled w/ her
extensive decorating expertise and background led to a natural culmination
of the two into the specialization of Faux Finish & Decorative Painting & Customization
of Hand painted Furniture. Lee has mastered Faux Finish & Decorative
Painting & Custom Painted Furniture but continues to educate herself
in new techniques and surfaces attending workshops and seminars.
In the year 2000, Lee founded her company, Kensington
Designs specializing in Faux Finish and Decorative Painting, Antique
Patina Fireplaces (Tuscan look), Custom Hand painted Furniture & Floorcloths,
Hand painted Signature Furniture Line, Children’s Signature Furniture
Line, and Interior Decoration Services.
